According to estimates by Eurostat, the European Statistical Office, the inflation rate in the Eurozone slightly fell in August to 3.8%. Even though this is still quite high a rate, it is nevertheless lower than the 4.0% registered in July and June. In the opinion of some experts, this could be a signal of inflation having peaked and returning to a more moderate rate.
